Students learn so much from creating works of art that come from their own experiences, ideas and desires. When students are allowed to express what is important to them, we, as caring adults in their lives, learn more about what they think and how we can meet their needs better. We learn about what we are doing well and where we need to improve.
Students in the Senior Drama class gain experience in dramaturgy through the work they do with the RSVP process. Originally created by Alexander Halprin and his wife, Anna, an architect and a ballerina, respectively, the two highlighted the commonalities that exist when creatives bring new ideas into the world.
